Buying dirt bike clothing for motocross racing can be a daunting task when you don’t know what exactly to buy. We’re going to give you a couple of reviews on dirt bike clothing to help narrow down your choices.
Dirt Bike Helmets
Bell Moto 9 – This helmet got very good ratings because of the emergency removal system in place. One reviewer said that if there are injuries to a rider, they could be made worse by ripping off a helmet. The emergency removal system eliminates this possibility from happening. This helmet comes in black and pearl and is about $480, but the reviewers say it is worth it.
AGV AX-8 Dual Helmet – This helmet can be used for racing and for on road. It weighs about 3 pounds and it comes in solid colors. It is about $400. A concern that a reviewer had for this helmet is that even with the helmet on, earplugs are a must because it is very loud inside the helmet. This helmet trumps the Variant helmet.
Troy Lee Designs – This helmet retails for about $400. It is lighter than the Shoei helmet and has a very smart cooling system. Over all, this is a very good helmet.
Dirt Bike Goggles
Spy Optic Klutch – Cool design, nice fit, and comes with a clear lens. Con is that it doesn’t come with extra tear off posts like with other goggles.
EKS – Comfortable, good sweat absorption, and comes in a range of bright colors. These goggles also come in different sizes for adults and one for kids or a smaller adult. These goggles match and fit nicely with different helmets.
Oakley Ducati Wind Jacket Sunglasses – These are a dual sport type of sunglasses with a removable insert to keep wind and dirt out of a rider’s eyes while dirt bike racing. These are very expensive at $250 but they do come with a lot of extras.
Dirt Bike Jerseys
Fox Racing Undertow Jersey – Comfortable fit, not too easy to snag, and affordable at $30.00
Troy Lee Designs – Lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and very colorful. Priced around $35-$65.
O’neal – Just like all other jerseys except the price is a lot more affordable at $20-$50.
